My Passions and Interests

I have a passion for learning, anything. It may sound cliché, but at some point, it is not.

I don't have a college degree. My last formal education was in classical music performance at a musical high school in Yogyakarta.

I was a college student at a prestigious university in Yogyakarta, one of the best universities in Indonesia, but I became demotivated and dropped out. After that, I joined an informal talent school to regain control of my life and future. I spent a year there, focusing on website development, which I enjoyed and am still passionate about today. That school significantly changed my perspective on studying and learning, showing me the perfect way to teach myself. I can study on my own and become a better person by learning from the internet and the professionals around me. I enjoy self-directed learning, studying what I care about at my own pace.

My journey in learning website development introduced me to a concept called "Object-oriented Programming." It completely changed my perspective on how to view the world. Since learning about OOP, I can see anything as an object in JavaScript! I know it may sound crazy, but with this mindset, I can observe more details in anything and make life decisions more easily. OOP ignited my passion for learning programming in general because I believe that by understanding programming concepts, I can improve myself.

But why limit myself to just programming? That's the point where my love for learning about anything comes in. "Connecting the dots" by exploring various topics in the world brings me immense satisfaction, and I could do it all day. I do have regrets about not having the strength to earn a degree, but I never regret that I have become extremely curious about the world and have a love for learning that may continue until the end of my life.
